There are many different ways young women getting creative with fashion and style yet maintaining cultural and religious values. One of the latest trends is Muslim women wearing maxi dresses with hijab - a kind of wrap-around shawl in many different styles to suit different occasions. What are these new hijab fashion styles that have become popular among us? I am going to discuss and explain every new trend and style here and it would help you decide which style to wear for a special event.

Item 1: Maxi Dresses and Gowns

maxi dress is a floor-length dress that is formfitting at the top and loose flowing at the bottom. It is cut in a way to flow over the body. Manufacturers usually make maxi dresses or gowns with different types of materials including cotton, polyester, silk, and nylon and they come in a variety of necklines, colors, designs, and patterns.

Item 2: Shirt dresses

Shirt dresses resemble a traditional shirt. A shirt dress borrows details from a man's shirt. These can include a collar, a button front, or cuffed sleeves.

Simply put, shirt dresses are long shirts. It's available in different fabrics like cotton or silk and colors of your interest. Mostly shirt dresses are made in crisp fabrics. Item 3: Middle Eastern Style Abayas and Kaftans

Hijab fashion guide: The abaya is a simple, loose over-garment, essentially a robe-like dress, worn by Muslim women in the Middle East and Arabian countries. Kimonos are originally traditional full-length robes which are of Japanese origin. Women use kimono wrap coats as a cover-up over a slip dress or any other dress which gives a unique look.

Kurti refers to waistcoats, jackets, and blouses which sit above the waist without side slits. There are a number of styles of Kurti like Punjabi Kurti and Bihari Kurti. A Kurti is similar to a short tunic. A midi dress is any dress or skirt with a hem that hits a mid-calf – halfway between the knee and ankle.

Kurti or short tunic can be worn with flared trousers or palazzo pants. You can wear a trendy hijab style to go with it. Midi dress and long tunics can be worn with straight cut trousers or leggings. Or you can pair it with bell-bottom trousers or Indian style layered pants(also called Patiala trousers). Choose a good hijab style with it.

Item 6: Short tunics and skirts

skirt is a separate outer garment covering the person from the waist downwards. A short tunic is a garment for the body, usually simple in style, reaching from the shoulders to a length somewhere between the hips and the ankles. A tunic is similar to Indian Kurti.

Short tunics can be worn with maxi skirts of different styles giving a chic look.
